COMPOSING KINKAZZO AS A HOMAGE
The moniker KINKAZZO, a nom-de-plume, is my homage to Kinky Friedman, folksinger and eccentric author: it combines English and Italian in a kinky way, where the first part is directly derived from Friedman’s nickname (received during his freshman year for his curly hair, I believe, and not is sexual habits...uhm...) and the second part -azzo, if pronounced with the whole, gives an exciting Italian flavour to the sound – oh, yeah, believe you me! (but don't say it out loud while in Italy)
A bit like saying “KINKDICK” or, better, “KINKOCK” -- yessiree: Kinkock! (a bit like King Kong) I like that, it sounds fine too! Hey, I think I’ll adopt it as an alternative...
Anyway, I'll unashamedly go with Fernando Pessoa and his heteronymous inventions...
Heteronyms: a concept stronger than pseudonyms, they were literary alter egos with intricate imaginary lives of their own.
Pessoa towards the end sublimated his own genius in the creation of heteronyms, imaginary poets possessing distinct influences and phrases, grammar and style. "To create I have destroyed myself ... I'm the empty stage where various actors act out various plays. I am a secret orchestra whose instruments strum and bang inside me. I only know myself as the symphony".
DAUBMIR NADIR
So then, "Daubmir" is the approximate reverse of Rimbaud (about whom I achieved one of my great critical accomplishments, ahem...), and "Nadir" is the opposite of Zenith and represents my current inner state. The lot sounds like Arabic, right? Well, in a way it is, given the fact that the word is indeed Arabic, from: نظير / ALA-LC: naẓīr, meaning "opposite".

Il mio pseudonimo Kinkazzo (con variazione Kinkatso, per chi vuole evitare accostamenti penili) si rifà parzialmente al nome di uno scrittore americano (Kinky Friedman). Per motivi di privacy e copyright, non posso usare i miei reali dettagli anagrafici, quindi me ne invento un altro e mi associo a Fernando Pessoa, grande inventore degli “eteronimi”.

Infatti, gli eteronimi sono la grande creazione estetica di Pessoa, che attraversa tutta la sua vita. A differenza degli pseudonimi, gli eteronimi sono personalità poetiche complete: identità che, inizialmente inventate, divengono autentiche attraverso la loro personale attività artistica, diversa e distinta da quella dell'autore originale.

Il nome “Daubmir” è un’anagramma di Rimbaud (suona familiare?) poeta che amo, mentre “Nadir” (dall'arabo: نظير / pronuncia: naẓīr, che significa "opposto") è l’opposto dello Zenit e rappresenta il mio attuale stato d’animo...
